RESTAURANTS

  • THE BUCKHORN EXCHANGE
    10th & Osage
    Indianapolis
    (303)534-9505

Open since 1893, this restaurant is unlike anything you've ever seen. The sheer history in this place is enough to keep you interested-but the food is incredible! Beef, buffalo and elk, not to mention pheasant, quail, rattlesnake, gator and more! It could also be called a museum. Once you visit, you'll be back! And be sure to have the "Rocky Mountain Oysters!"

  • BLUE BONNET
    457 S. Broadway
    Denver, CO
    303-778-0147

The Blue Bonnet's Mexican food is a lot closer to the real stuff than you think. No dry enchiladas, no gross guacamole, just great green chile and lots of it. The Blue Bonnet will show you that Mexican food is more than refried beans and tortillas.

  • PAGLIACCI'S
    1440 West 33rd Ave
    Denver, CO
    303-458-0530

Features Italian pasta and other dishes in a homey atmosphere. A really fun taste of "old Italy". Some of the best minestrone I've ever had ladled up table-side from a huge tureen. Decent wine list, and well-prepared classic Italian favorites. Good espresso too. If you've ever eaten in a classic New York Italian this will match those. Even down to the old ladies with blue hair. It's old family - traditional and solid. The wait staff is excellent. If you're looking for novelle - go somewhere else!

  • DADDY BRUCE'S BAR-B-QUE
    1629 Bruce Randolph Blvd
    Denver, CO

Ribs, chicken, pork, beef, cornbread, beans -- it's all served here with a "patented" sauce. Catfish is a popular alternative to the normal barbecue. Liquor is not served although some diners bring their own.

  • DELHI DARBAR
    1514 Blake Street
    Denver
    303-595-0680

Delhi Darbar specializes in tandoori and allows you to watch the chef prepare the meats for these special charcoal clay ovens through a plate glass window. The delicately spiced Tandoori Murgh is delivered on a platter with sizzling onions. Also try the tandoori mixed grill for a sampling of chicken, lamb and fish. Also, some great Vegetarian dishes.

  • SUSHI DEN
    1487 S Pearl St
    Denver
    303-777-0826

One of the few sushi places in the country that imports fish on a large scale-daily from a Japanese market-Sushi Den rivals even the coastal houses. The freshness reflects in every bite. Try whatever the chef recommends and any daily sushi specials. Rolls are also excellent, especially the signature avocado and eel roll.
